Dan Mogin and The Mogin Law Firm, P.C. have been appointed co-lead counsel by Judge Milton I. Shadur in the Containerboard Products price-fixing class action pending in the U.S. District Court in Chicago. The lawsuit is a nationwide class action under the federal antitrust laws on behalf of direct purchasers of containerboard, corrugated containers and related products. The lawsuit alleges that the major integrated producers faced decreasing profit margins due to competition, rising demand, and a promising macroeconomic outlook. The complaint details meetings and communications among the defendants followed by mill and plant closures, idling of capacity, reduced production and near simultaneous across-the-board price increases.
